PEGASUS servo actuators
Reliability in motion

The Pegasus Actuators GmbH was founded in 2007 focused on the development, manufacturing and marketing of electro mechanical actuator products worldwide.

PEGASUS servo - actuators are currently installed in numerous types of industrial and remotely controlled employments, wherever exceptional precision and reliability are imperative.

All our PEGASUS servo actuators are developed, manufactured, assembled, quality tested and distributed here in our premises in the little town of Wöllstadt. We take pride in the indication „Made in Germany“.

Right from the start, a stalwart devotion to our clients and many years of experience in a broad range of motion control applications has been the key to our success.

Everything about our company's offering is considered and managed because we are convinced that even one unhappy customer is one too many.

Our comprehensive product range has been developed to meet or even exceed our clients requirements concerning speed, torque, postioning precision, reliability, service lifetime, cost and weight.

If a particular customer requirement can't be met we can either modify an actuator of our standard product range or realize a customer specific solution.

Whether off-the-shelf or customized, our actuators are ready to perform.

Products

There is a wide range of industrial actuator products and redundant uav/rpv servo actuators available, please make your choice.

Electromechanical Rotary for use in various applications

PEGASUS industrial servo actuators are electromechanical drive units of extraordinary power density, precision and reliability.

Redundant Actuators

Electromechanical with rotary output- for safety critical unmanned systems such as UAV, RPV, OPV

For operating the control surfaces of UAV, quality RC hobby servos and high grade multipurpose industrial actuators have become firmly established within the UAV community. Although a lot of effort has been invested to improve the reliability of such servos, there is still one main drawback: Any kind of component failure can result in a total loss of the air vehicle. Particularly in UAV helicopter applications, there is little chance to support system reliability by adding more actuators to operate the main rotor swash plate or the tail rotor sufficiently in case of an actuator failure.

Customer developments

Special products — In case our standard product line does not exactly meet the requirement, we can either offer OEM (COTS) made versions of our actuators or develop an actuator solution exactly meeting our customer’s requirements.

Pegasus collaboration with the tactical UAV designers from AUTH

Greece has entered a new era in the design, development and production of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles. The Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTH) and its Laboratory of Fluid Mechanics & Turbomachinery (LFMT) was a pioneer and a key player in this effort, starting with the HCUAV RX-1. With a rather conventional, boom-mounted inverted V-tail configuration, the RX-1 made its maiden flight back in 2016.
